Liberec Routes

Between 1999 and 2001 there was an obligation to mark lines running beyond the municipality of Liberec with three-digit numbers. Line 30 therefore carried the designation 301 at the time. As a point of interest, I include the list of stops valid on 1 January 2000, including the request stops in force at the time.

Line 30 was thus briefly marked with the number 301, but this had no effect on the line as such. The obligation ended at the end of 2001, and so from 2002 this number disappears from Liberec public transport.

Apart from the vehicle fleet, which at that time was based on Karosa 700-series buses, not much has changed over the years since this line operated, so I give the same driver's view as for line 30.

Line 30 does not need an extensive commentary. It is an ordinary line with no dangerous or otherwise significant sections. Trouble is occasionally brought by jams at the big junction by the viaduct or on Košická. At weekends you also have to reckon with a considerably tight timetable. Some services early in the morning and late in the evening are a continuation of line 26, but this changes nothing on the line itself.

You can ride the line there and back in completely different worlds. There we travel on a pleasant spring evening with sunset approaching. On the way back we then taste a proper Liberec winter, which is no longer seen very often.
