Liberec Routes

• 1 May 2000: a line with the number 35 is created for the first time. It is an attempt at a circular "shopping" line aiming to bring passengers directly to the first Liberec supermarket, Hypernova, which opened in 1998. The line was introduced on the route Hypernova - Americká - Nádraží - Fügnerova - Jablonecká - Broumovská - Zelené Údolí - Rochlice - Hypernova. In the opposite direction line 34 was put into operation.

• 3 September 2001: a long-term diversion begins along Hanychovská on the tram tracks all the way past the Krkonošská stop and then along Americká street, due to the dilapidated state of the bridge over the railway.
• 1 January 2002: the Kavkazská stop was put into operation.
• 1 September 2003: the long-term diversion ends.
• 1 September 2004: the circular mode ends, the line is newly run on the route Fügnerova – Zelené Údolí – Hypernova and back. Line 34 is entirely abolished; on the Fügnerova – Americká – Hypernova section it is replaced by extended line 22 services to Hypernova.
• 3 January 2005: the line was abolished due to low usage.
• 1 May 2005: the line is restored on the original route with an extension to the southern industrial zone. Later the service to Hypernova was gradually dropped. The line thus takes on its current route. The extent of operation began at about nine services on weekdays, and the line was gradually reduced to just two pairs of services. A few services were taken away by the creation of line 33 on 1 September 2006 on a similar route.

• 16 July 2023: in the direction from the centre the line newly calls at the Šaldovo náměstí stop on the tracks, where all the other lines stop too. The stop on Jablonecká street is abolished.

Line 35 is a most peculiar combination of various lines. At first glance it might seem that it would be affected by the problems of the other collecting and distributing lines from the industrial zone. But that is only partly true, because it runs outside the traditional shift-change times. The direction from the centre is usually problem-free, because it heads against the main traffic flows. The direction towards the centre sometimes runs into congestion in the industrial zone area; beyond that there are usually no problems. NOTE — in the direction from the centre, unlike in the video, the stop now used is Šaldovo náměstí on the tracks, not on Jablonecká street.
