School line 56: Králův Háj - Kunratická sídliště

ROUTE FUNCTION
School line 56 brings pupils from Králův Háj directly to the Aloisina výšina Primary School on the Kunratická estate. It is one of three lines that do not enter the Fügnerova terminal. The standard fare applies on the line, so anyone can use it.
Line 56 has its beginning in the 2004/2005 school year, when it was to ease the transport of schoolchildren from Králův Háj to the Aloisina výšina Primary School. It was originally introduced to the extent of three morning services there and three afternoon services back. Already on 1 February 2005, however, operation is reduced to a single pair of services. From 2012 only the morning service runs.

Line 56 is now just a single morning service on weekdays. Drivers therefore rarely get to drive it. There is nothing to fear, though: the route is simple, practically a link of lines 21 and 22. The only unusual thing is the turn by Textilana to the left instead of towards the Fügnerova terminal (habit is habit, and there are few lines that do not call at Fügnerova). Because of the road profile it has to be driven with care. The service tends to be heavily occupied by children, which further underlines the need for caution.
